My style is intricate. I paint lying on my side, which no one else does. Growing up with parents who were both veterinarians, my paintings reflect my lifelong connection with animals. I was fortunate early on to have gifted artists as mentors and teachers who helped me develop a painting technique that gets the eyes and fur just right.
People tell me my paintings are lifelike, but still have the artistic qualities of a painting. They are realistic but not photographic and seem to capture each animal’s soul through its eyes.
I sell my original artwork and prints online through etsy.com/shop/kakart and private shows in-home and at galleries across the Gulf South. Selective paintings are available for licensing based on availability.
