As a music lover and disabled artist, concerts hold a special place in my heart. They’re a chance to break away from the daily grind, live in the moment, and immerse myself in something uplifting. Over the years, one band has stood out among the rest: Florida Georgia Line. Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley have not only delivered unforgettable performances but also created memories that I’ll cherish forever.
Discovering Florida Georgia Line
It all started with my friend Christy, my concert partner-in-crime. From the moment we attended our first Florida Georgia Line show, we were hooked. Their fun, upbeat music and dynamic stage presence made every performance feel like a celebration. Despite not fitting the mold of “traditional country,” Tyler and Brian’s talent as songwriters and entertainers is undeniable.
One of our earliest memories with FGL included a wild encounter at a show that involved Christy standing up for me during a chaotic moment. That night cemented our bond with the band—and earned us VIP tickets to their next show. It’s these unique experiences that make following FGL so rewarding.
A Cruise to Remember
A few years later, we joined FGL’s music cruise out of Miami, featuring artists like Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, and The Cadillac Three. It was four days of nonstop music, laughter, and unforgettable moments. For me, someone navigating life with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (Brittle Bone Disease), the cruise was the perfect blend of my two favorite things: concerts and travel.
A Special Moment at The Wharf
Of all the incredible memories we’ve made with Florida Georgia Line, one stands out above the rest. At a show in Orange Beach, Alabama, Tyler and Brian made a gesture I’ll never forget. After recognizing me as a longtime fan who had been singing along to every song, Tyler stopped the show and presented me with an autographed guitar.
In that moment, I was overwhelmed with gratitude—not just for the guitar, but for the acknowledgment of how much their music means to me. It was a testament to the band’s genuine care for their fans.
Why Florida Georgia Line Matters
As someone living with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, music is a source of motivation and joy. Florida Georgia Line’s inclusive and engaging performances remind me that good music transcends genres and creates a sense of belonging.
Tyler and Brian’s authenticity shines through in every interaction—they remember their fans’ names, express gratitude, and make each concert feel personal. That’s what sets them apart.
I just want to take a minute to call out this girl down here. She’s a longtime fan, and she’s been here two nights in a row in the same spot singing every word to every song, drinking her Fireball and Old Camp Whiskey.
Cheers to More Memories
To Tyler, Brian, and the entire band: Thank you for being incredible performers and even better people. Your music has brought so much joy into my life, and I can’t wait to see what’s next. And to Christy, my fearless concert buddy: Here’s to many more nights filled with music, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Who brought the party back? That was Florida Georgia Line.
